Use Case to bridge ERC20 Assets using the frontend

1. Transferring ERC20 Tokens Between Chains

Description: You want to transfer your ERC20 tokens from one chain to another compatible chain (e.g., BSC).

Preconditions:

  • You must have a Metamask Wallet.
  • You must have ERC20 tokens and sufficient funds to pay gas fees.

Steps:

  1. Connect your MetaMask Wallet to the dApp.
  2. On the top select the source network (e.g., Ethereum, BSC, Avalanche, etc).
  3. On the left section, select "Bridge" --> "Transfer" to bridge ERC20 tokens. Nexera Interoperability Protocol ERC20 Transfer
  4. Select the target network (e.g., Ethereum, BSC, Avalanche, etc).
  5. Select the ERC20 token you want to transfer and the amount.
  6. Scroll and click "Next".
  7. Check the fees and confirm the transfer.
  8. Approve the token transfer when prompted by the dApp.
  9. Once approved, the dApp initiates the transfer by locking the tokens on the source chain.
  10. Claim the tokens on the destination chain.

Notes If the provider is not configured to do the automatic claim of the message on the target chain, an extra step will be required to execute the deliver manually. This step will vary depending on the actual bridge provider that is used.

Postconditions:

  • The ERC20 tokens are locked on the source chain.
  • Equivalent tokens are issued on the destination chain.

2. Checking Transfer Status

Steps:

  1. Connect your MetaMask Wallet to the dApp.
  2. Change the network to the destination chain of your tokens.
  3. Go to "Claim" on the left section.
  4. The dApp displays the current status of the transfer.
