Nexera Interoperability Protocol: Development Roadmap

This document outlines the roadmap for the Nexera Interoperability Protocol, a blockchain bridge facilitating communication and asset transfer between various blockchains. It highlights features planned for future development, categorized as either implemented (ready) or to be implemented.

Implemented Features

  1. CCIP Transactions: Nexera Interoperability Protocol currently supports CCIP (Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol) transactions, enabling secure communication between blockchains adhering to the CCIP standard.

Features to be Implemented

  1. CCTP Integration (USDC): Integration with CCTP (Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol) is underway, specifically targeting USDC transfers. This functionality will allow users to move USDC tokens between supported blockchains.
  2. API for Interoperability and Asset Tokenization: An API is planned to provide programmatic access to bridge functionalities. This will empower developers to create applications leveraging Nexera Interoperability Protocol's interoperability features and facilitate asset tokenization on the platform.
  3. Solana Network Support: Integration with Solana is planned, creating a bridge between Solana and other supported blockchains.
  4. Wemix Network Support: Adding support for the Wemix network is planned, expanding the bridge's reach and enabling communication and asset transfers between Wemix and other supported blockchains.
  5. Kroma Network Support: Integration with the Kroma network is also on the roadmap, further enriching the bridge's ecosystem by connecting Kroma with other blockchain environments.
  6. IBC integration to support cosmos chains: IBC integration is on the roadmap, enabling seamless asset transfer between Cosmos-based networks and the Nexera Interoperability Protocol ecosystem.
  7. XCM integration to support Polkadot: XCM integration is planned, allowing for communication and asset transfer between Polkadot and the bridge's network of supported blockchains.
  8. Enable Nexera Messaging Protocol as a valid provider: The Nexera Messaging Protocol is planned to become again an option as a Messaging protocol available provider.
  9. ERC-1155 Token Support: Nexera Interoperability Protocol will be enhanced to support ERC-1155 tokens, a standard for representing non-fungible and fungible tokens within a single contract. This will broaden the range of assets transferable through the bridge.
  10. Message dApp for Cross-Chain Commands: A dedicated message dApp is envisioned to facilitate cross-chain communication and command execution. This dApp will allow users to send messages and commands across blockchains in a secure and user-friendly manner.

Please note: The order of implementation for the features listed above may be subject to change based on development priorities and community feedback. We encourage you to stay tuned for future updates on the Nexera Interoperability Protocol project.
