1. Implementing Business Logic in Data Managers​

Q. If a Data Manager needs to be upgraded or replaced, how does this affect existing Data Objects and Data Points? Is there a migration process for safely transitioning between Data Managers?

If a Data Manager is a Diamond or Upgradeable contract, it can be upgraded, and no additional configuration is needed to access data in Data Objects. If it is non-upgradeable and is replaced with a new implementation at its own address, this new Data Manager should be approved in the Data Index to use that Data Point. It is also recommended to revoke approval of the old version of the Data Manager.
