Glossary for the Nexera Interoperability Protocol

This glossary defines key terms and components that make up the Nexera Interoperability Protocol. Understanding these elements is essential for interacting with the Nexera Interoperability Protocol and its functionalities. Let's explore the terminology in detail:

  1. Nexera Interoperability Protocol: The bridge providers aggregator solution, includes Teleport and dapps. Providers are excluded.

  2. Messaging Provider: A protocol that can transmit arbitrary messages or data between on-chain networks and works with off-chain components, such as validator networks, to observe and verify transmitted messages.

  3. Nexera Messaging Protocol: The specific Nexera solution to bridge messages. Is currently one of the valid providers for the Nexera Interoperability Protocol.

  4. CCIP Provider adapter: The component that allows usage of CCIP as a Nexera Interoperability Protocol provider.

  5. Teleport: The on-chain entry point for the dApps to bridge messages. It's an interface that acts as a mediator between them and the messaging protocol, managing the messages sent by those dApps and transmitting them via the messaging protocol.

  6. ERC20 router dApp: The on-chain entry point for bridging ERC20 tokens. More specifically, they are smart contracts that manage the locking, burning, and minting of ERC-20 tokens on the source and destination networks.

  7. ERC721 router dApp: The on-chain entry point for bridging ERC721 tokens. More specifically, they are smart contracts that manage the locking, burning, and minting of ERC-721 tokens on the source and destination networks.

  8. Nexera Interoperability Protocol SDK: The SDK to interact with the Teleport and the dApps from off-chain components. It's a suite of development tools to allow developers to interface with the Teleport Protocol.
